My sister Jessie flew into Chicago on Saturday to spend Christmas with the fam. I haven’t seen her in almost a year, which means Saturday was the first time she met baby Noah. We’ve been so fortunate to “see” her regularly on Skype, but it’s just not the same as a real-life hug or watching her play with the boys.
Jessie’s been based in the Philippines for the last year and a half working with an organization called One Hope. She’s chronicled her journeys on her blog send me, i’ll go and you can also see a highlight reel from her last year of work HERE. I’ll admit it, she’s pretty cool :).
I am so so so excited to have the next couple of weeks to hang out with my ‘lil sis – but I know it will be over far too soon. At the end of the month she’ll get back on a plane to the Philippines to continue her work until June when she’ll start grad school back in the States.
My ‘lil sister’s all grown up, living her dreams, changing the world.
So proud of you Jessie . . . glad you’re home for Christmas :).
