Thank you for fifteen years of faithful service. I know there have been times I have stretched you to your limit and pushed you beyond what you were possibly designed to do. I appreciate your determination to keep on going, and am thankful that you have not demanded a respite despite the fact that your tension settings are a little off.
I apologize that for the better part of the past three years you have been stuck in storage between the fire-safe and craft supply boxes. I know that you often get bumped and jostled when I’m looking for things I’ve misplaced after our move. I realize that you have far more potential than the greeting card organizer and binders full of gadget instructions. Please know that I believe your best days are still ahead of you.
I hope you enjoy your new semi-permanent place in my corner of the work space in our living room. I’m not sure how long I can let you stay, but I have a hunch it might be awhile. I’m really excited about this new project and the memories we will make together over the coming days.
It’s good to see you old friend. Thanks for always being here when I need you.
