I am in major nesting mode here at home – going through drawers no one looks in, cleaning out cabinets, sorting through old files. I just have this intense need to have everything organized before Noah comes. Maybe it’s because I know the chaos that is coming. I know I’m being absolutely crazy at times, but at least I’m being productive!
Upon attempting to look for a certain CD of pictures, my husband emerged from the basement moments later saying, “You go girl! You keep on nesting!” You see, all of the CDs are now clearly labeled and in one place. This has not been the case EVER in our married lives. We averted an argument AND bonus – we had the missing CD.
I have also placed much stress on removing things from our home that are no longer necessary. Every time I have a bag of “garbage” or a mound of stuff for discard pickup I make a point to show Mike how much space we have since acquired in our home. He always laughs at me. But it is very much the truth.
Even with all the purging, there are still some things I cannot get rid of. I wanted to share something I have kept for a good number of years (and will continue to do so) and thought appropriate especially at the beginning of another new year.
