About the Script
A Christmas service doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
Christmas through the Carols is a full-length Christmas Eve presentation churches of all sizes will find easily adaptable to the seasonal needs and artistic abilities of their congregation. Using a combination of narration, scripture reading, and song, congregants journey through the Christmas story by way of some of the most cherished Christmas carols of our time.
Script includes sample service order, song selection, 8 complete narrations (adaptable for 2 or 7 narrators), and production notes.
Why THIS script, THIS Christmas?
For many people, Christmas is a tender time of year – one in which heaven feels nearer, making them more aware of the presence of God at work in their life. This is why I believe so strongly the church needs to put time and energy into Christmas services, crafting an experience that makes way for God to do what only He can, in the hearts of believers and seekers alike.
I know this can be an intimidating task. With everything a pastor has to administrate in a given week, and church resources often stretched incredibly thin, creating something new and fresh and engaging for Christmas can be really difficult to accomplish.
But a Christmas service doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
Christmas through the Carols is by far the most popular service available on this blog. It brings me incredible joy every year to read emails from church leaders across the country and around the world that have used the script for their Christmas services. As a result, I’ve taken time to publish the service in a more user-friendly format that I am thrilled to share with you in time for this year’s services.
It is my hope this updated and published edition would be a blessing to you and your church this Christmas season.
